Spark

Spark works to provide access to higher education and entrepreneurship opportunities  to empower young, ambitious people to lead their fragile and conflict affected societies into prosperity. They collaborate with local partners to provide youth in local communities with the tool they need to succeed, especially those that have been effected by conflict, climate crisis, and displacement. The programs they implement with local partners empowers students and entrepreneurs to study, work, and grow their own businesses.

Turquoise Mountain

Established in 2006 by HM King Charles III, Turquoise Mountain works to revive historic areas and support traditional crafts, working in partnership with communities to provide jobs, skills and a renewed sense of wellbeing.
Turquoise Mountain works in Afghanistan, Myanmar and the Middle East. To date, its teams have restored over 150 historic buildings, employed and trained thousands of artisans and builders and supported new artisan businesses.

MOFA

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been the forefront governing body responsible for managing Qatar’s foreign relations and diplomatic affairs since 1971. In light of the developments taking place on the international arena, a new law was issued in 2005 to define the functions of The Ministry of Foreign Affairs as follows:

  • Highlight the State of Qatar, its values and polices, while protecting the country’s interests abroad.
  • Propose foreign policy plans and work to implement them in coordination with concerned agencies in the state.
  • Establish contacts and conduct talks in preparation to conclude agreements and conventions; and take the required actions with regard to their conclusion, implementation and supervision.
  • Conduct contacts with the Qatari ministries and authorities, foreign governments and their diplomatic missions and the regional and international organizations.
  • Draft and propose Qatar’s foreign policy to H.H. the Amir for approval.
  • Organizes the diplomatic and consular representation with Arab and foreign countries, and regional and international organizations.
  • Protect and represent the interests of Qatar and its people abroad.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has established a clear vision, to have a distinguished foreign policy for the State of Qatar at both regional and international levels, and care for the interests of citizens abroad.

Ministry of Culture

The Culture sector is one of the most important sectors of the national development strategy. The Ministry’s strategy is derived from the Constitution of the State of Qatar, guided by the directives of His Highness the Emir of Qatar and for the purposes of Qatar’s National Vision 2030.
