On behalf of the Living and livelihood Fund, Qatar Fund for Development contributes to Improving Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health Services in Tajikistan

Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) signed an agreement with the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on behalf of the Living and livelihood Fund (LLF) of the Islamic Development Bank for the project improving maternal, newborn and child health services in four areas in the two districts.

The project, focuses on four main objectives: first, Enhancing availability/accessibility of Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health services; second Institutional and Human Resources Capacity Building in the targeted health facilities; third Improving Public Awareness of Health-seeking Behavior; and, and finally Establishment of a functional Referral System.

LLF is an initiative headed and funded by QFFD and implemented by of the Islamic Development Bank. Its vision is to assist the poorest 33 member countries of the Bank, focusing on healthcare, agriculture and infrastructure development. QFFD works in partnership with several other institutions as a donor partner, helping many countries in need of financing and development. This translates the QFFD’s mission to Provide financial tools in order to develop countries around the world and beyond for responsive and effective humanitarian and development aid.
