On behalf of the State of Qatar, Qatar Fund for Development participates in the meetings of the GCC Coordination Committee with the GCC Electricity Interconnection Authority

Qatar Fund for Development represented the State of Qatar in the meetings of the GCC Aid Coordination Committee with the GCC Electricity Interconnection Authority. Which was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council in the capital Riyadh. The meeting was attended by representatives from the concerned authorities and development funds in the GCC countries, and specialists from the General Secretariat. It was also attended by a delegation from the US Department of Energy in light of the US interest in providing technical support and strategic partnership between the two sides.

During the meeting, the participants reviewed the future directions and plans of the GCC Electricity Interconnection Authority and the studies prepared by the Authority to enter the energy market through the electrical link with neighboring countries.

The meeting aims to enhance the strategic cooperation between the Gulf States and neighboring countries. Moreover, it comes within the framework of the State of Qatar’s strategic cooperation with its neighbors to solve common challenges and exchange experiences.
