QFFD presented a lecture on the Sustainable Development Goals during the events of Doha Muslim Youth Capital 2019, presented by the Ministry of Culture and Sports. The lecture was part of the activities of Doha Youth Camp for Voluntary and Humanitarian Work, which will be held from 27 October to 6 November 2019.
The aim of this workshop was to introduce young people to the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals in general, their importance and history as well. The workshop also discussed the role of the State of Qatar in the sustainable development internationally through the Fund’s activities.
The importance of this workshop is to introduce participants to the Fund’s activities and aim to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals to eliminate poverty and hunger, promote education, raise health awareness, live in economic prosperity and achieve peace. Where the fund focuses primarily on human development.
The workshop aligns with the overall objectives of the camp, which seeks to build rapprochement and dialogue among the youth of the Muslim world to exchange skills and experiences and engage youth in the process of building and development in their countries.
The State of Qatar, through QFFD, has played a major role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4: “Ensuring fair and inclusive education for all and enhancing lifelong learning for all”. Goal 3: ” Ensuring healthy lives and well-being for all.” Goal 8: ” Promoting sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth and keeping full and productive employment and decent work for all.” These goals will create a decent life for those in need in developing countries as they will meet their needs in the form of development.
