Qatari Air Bridge Launched to Deliver Humanitarian Aid to Venezuela in Support of Earthquake-Affected Communities

June 26, 2026

Doha, June 26, 2026

In implementation of the directives of H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar, may God protect him, Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) has launched an urgent humanitarian response, in cooperation with the Qatar International Search and Rescue Group affiliated with the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) and Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), through the operation of an air bridge comprising six aircraft to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in support of those affected by the earthquake.

The humanitarian response comes as part of Qatar’s humanitarian efforts aimed at providing a rapid response to disasters, alleviating the suffering of affected communities, and supporting countries around the world in facing humanitarian crises.

The humanitarian aid shipment includes family tents, field hospitals, and shelter items to support affected families, provide emergency accommodation, and contribute to addressing urgent humanitarian needs in the aftermath of the earthquake.

The air bridge aims to strengthen relief efforts and enhance the humanitarian response in affected areas, while contributing to reducing the impact of the disaster and supporting the immediate shelter and recovery needs of affected communities.

This assistance reflects Qatar’s continued commitment to providing humanitarian support to those affected by crises and natural disasters, and its ongoing contribution to international relief efforts during times of emergency.
