The State of Qatar Launches a Land Bridge of Qatari Aid to Support the Palestinian People in Gaza
Doha, Qatar – October 16, 2025
In implementation of the directives of the Amir of the State of Qatar, HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the State of Qatar has launched a land bridge of humanitarian aid in response to the urgent needs and to alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, which will be delivered through the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
This initiative comes in the wake of the signing of the Gaza Ceasefire Agreement during the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit and extends Qatar’s continuous support to the brotherly Palestinian people.
The humanitarian convoy includes 87,754 shelter tents provided by the Qatar Fund for Development, Qatar Charity, and the Qatar Red Crescent Society, offering safe and dignified shelter for approximately 436,170 individuals from affected families. This effort comes at a critical time, as more than 288,000 families have lost their homes as a result of the Israeli aggression.
Participating in the launch of the land bridge were H.E. Dr. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Mr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Charity; Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bishri, Assistant Secretary-General for Communication and Resource Development at Qatar Red Crescent Society; and Mr. Nasser Mohammed Al-Marzouqi, Deputy Director General for Shared Services at the Qatar Fund for Development.
This initiative embodies the State of Qatar’s commitment to standing by the brotherly Palestinian people, strengthening their resilience in the face of humanitarian challenges, and supporting recovery efforts aimed at building a future of greater stability and dignity.
