Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) signs an agreement with the Health, Development, Information, and Policy Institute (HDIP) to contribute to The Right of Education Project.
18th of April 2023
Doha, Qatar
Qatar Fund for Development signed an agreement to contribute to The Right to Education Project initiated by the Health, Development, Information, and Policy Institute (HDIP). This Project aims to increase the skillset amongst the Palestinian youth in most affected areas with education at the forefront of building their community. This would increase the chances of employment for the Palestinian youth and allow them to thrive in the ever-changing job market. The project will invest at least 384 training hours annually over 3 years.
The proposed activities focus on empowering and equipping the most vulnerable youth from Palestinian society to become active and contributing members of their communities. In addition, it will provide them with life skills that they can practice helping them become leading members of their communities.
At these times, development projects in the education sector need to be adopted in Palestine to help their communities grow and prosper. Therefore, by providing this funding and starting new partnerships with the HDIP, QFFD hopes that this contribution aids in investing in newfound skills to advance the Palestinian knowledge base.

Qatar Fund for Development, in partnership with Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) and the Geneva Graduate Institute (GGI), participated in the graduation of Qatar Scholarship Program (QS) students for the year 2022-2023.
03/02/2022
Switzerland, Geneva
Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) participated in the Geneva Graduate Institute (GGI), in partnership with Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), graduation ceremony to celebrate the graduating cohort of Qatar Scholarship Program. The cohort comprises 13 students, 7 males and 6 females, representing 9 countries.
The graduating students finished their studies in Development Policies and Practices with the program offered by GGI in partnership with HBKU. This program encourages graduate students to explore some of the most pressing regional and global development challenges and enhance their analysis and leadership skills.
Over the last decade, Qatar has undertaken significant reformation to build an educational system that puts quality education at its core. As Qatar’s official development agency, QFFD places education at the forefront of its priorities. It is one of the most critical sectors that serve a vital role in a community’s and a nation’s sustainable development, resilience, and peacebuilding. Therefore, Qatar Scholarships program has been established to provide access to quality education to learners and future leaders from least-developed countries.
Supporting such programs is an opportunity to highlight the Fund’s efforts at reducing disparity and inequity in education by creating lifelong learning opportunities at leading universities. It also highlights how QS offers its learners a chance to be a part of a rich cultural environment, network with experts, and gain skills through various programs and vocational training.
QFFD will continue to encourage these opportunities to promote human development and poverty alleviation through strengthening health and education systems and services, as well as give hope and promote peace and justice through sustainable and inclusive development.

Qatar Fund for Development Signs an Agreement with Tomorrow’s Youth Organization to implement Bokrah 2 Project in Palestine
Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) has signed an agreement with Tomorrow’s Youth Organization (TYO) to implement the Bokrah 2 project in Palestine, which aims to enhance sustainable development goals through the support of education, mental health, employment, and women’s empowerment in the West Bank.
Since 2017, in partnership with TYO, QFFD has been able to provide educational and psychological services to more than 12,000 disadvantaged children, women and families in Palestine at its leading center in Nablus, which has become one of the most important educational centers in the region.
QFFD is committed to achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals; the partnership between Tomorrow’s Youth and Qatar Fund for Development will achieve inclusive and sustainable development by empowering the most neglected children, youth, and women to reach their development potential as healthy, determined, and active members of their society. The Bokrah 2 program responds to the main needs and provides 1) quality education; 2) mental health services; 3) employment opportunities; and 4) women empowerment
HE Khalifa Al-Kuwari, Director General of QFFD said: “With high unemployment and inequality in education exacerbated by the COVID-19 crisis, the current situation requires multiple responses to these issues from the relevant sectors to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people, who face multiple humanitarian and developmental challenges. We are honored to continue to support our successful partner, Tomorrow’s Youth Organization, to meet the key needs of the Palestinian population, such as providing educational opportunities, mental health services, employment opportunities and empowerment programs for women.”
Mr. Hani Hikmat al-Masri, Founder of Tomorrow’s Youth Organization, said: “TYO is truly grateful for the continued support of QFFD in launching the second phase of our partnership in Palestine. Bokra 2 will empower the most marginalized children, youth, and women to be able to reach their development potential as healthy and resilient members of the community. In alignment with the Sustainable Development Agenda 2030, Bokra 2 is a 4-million-dollar grant, provided by QFFD to TYO, which is dedicated to empowering the most marginalized Palestinians through education, employment, mental health, and women empowerment programs — all of which aim to ensure a decent life for current and future generations in Palestine.”
